Way better than the Michelin whitewalls (think deathtrap). At least the Zipps have some grip. Michelin S83's, throw them in the bin. Too much give on those tyres and makes you feel unstable. Plus, with a puncture, they go all over the place. Michelin SM100's are good and so are the Schwalbe Weatherman's (as long as you buy the one's made in Germany and not the one's made in India as they tend to fall to pieces after a few hundred miles).
